Sadhana Day 8:
I can already feel the effects that these new habits are having on my mind and body.
Here is what my daily routine has incorporated: Wake-up; with an empty stomach, practice Nouli Kriya (breathing and abdominal exercise); at least two sun salutations, drink warm lemon and honey water; eat healthy breakfast; … 40 minutes to 3 hours (ha, Saturday was fun) of Hatha practice; 5-10 minutes mediation.
Physically: Well right now I’m a bit sore from 3 hour practice on Saturday then skiing on Sunday, but I know that soon I will be feeling stronger. Lately, I have been feeling much more flexible in general. Also, my digestive system is LOVING the morning nouli kriya and warm lemon/honey water routine!
Mentally: I am soo full of joy! Every day, pretty much all day. Even when I’m stuck at work on a slow day I can find many reasons to smile! I am considerably and generally more relaxed, I’m sleeping really well, and awake most of the day. I am feeling more connected to my spirit.
Now that these have become habit and the effects are so generous I am having a hard time imagining life any different.
